This workshop (11-5pm) is intended for anybody who wishes to create their own pond large or small. We will look at the value of ponds for biodiversity; the role ponds, wetlands and water management can play in climate resilience; how to build your own pond – where to source water, whether to use a liner and how to encourage wildlife; and what is involved in pond management into the long term.

The day will include a talk and slide presentation by Féidhlim Harty and a walk around the diverse pond habitats of the Tralee Bay Wetlands park. There will be plenty of scope for discussions and Q&A so bring your own pond plans and ideas to get fully ready to put the theory into action as soon as possible.

These workshops are funded by LAWPRO and are a collaboration between Transition Kerry & Tralee Bay Wetlands.
